I'm back with concrete5 after a 3 year gap and now it's just for my own personal use as I'm now retired.

Always happy pre-5.7 with pages and their files in the theme directory, NOW I'm confused as to how pages and templates link and what this means regarding files in the theme directory.

I see that templates are what pages used to be and have a .php file in the theme directory. However, I'm somewhat baffled as to how pages are "called by" or "linked to" templates. What coding is required and where does it go?

I've tried to find out via docs and discussions but have failed to understand how to this all works in practice. I have a theme I've designed (just as in the good old days!) and I'm happy with version 8 and got to grips with how it works in many ways (the good new days) but need a bit of help with the templates and pages thingy!
