Theme not showing under Packages

I downloaded a theme from the market place and the instructions were
# Installation Instructions
1. Unzip this file in your site's packages/ directory.
2. Login to your site as an administrator.
3. Find the "Add Functionality" page in your dashboard.
4. Find this package in the list of packages awaiting installation.
5. Click the "install" button.


So i extracted the stellar.zip
moved the folder from my computer to the /packages folder
i go to add functionality section and it shows nothing under awaiting installation

Did you put the interior upzipped directory into the packages directory? It should be /packages/package_name/controller.php

yeah. i put the entire unzipped directory into the packages folder so currently its
/packages/Stellar_theme/
inside the stellar_theme folder there is controller.php

Remove the outer Stellar_theme directory and it will work.

so currently i have
/packages/theme_stellar

inside this directory is all these files:
INSTALL.TXT
LICENSE.TXT
blocks/
controller.php
icon.png
src/
themes/

when i go to add functionality it still isn't showing for me.

If that's the directory name that was the inner directory when you unzipped it that should work, if it doesn't you should contact the theme developer for support.
