Theme not working?

Hi, apologies - I'm learning as I go here...

I can't even get a basic theme to apply anymore? Can anyone help me out with where I've messed it up?

Without getting deep and dirty into the site, I can't be sure, but it looks like you have done some serious damage.

I couldn't even get a direct dashboard link to work ( http://www.satyrsolutions.com/index.php/dashboard... ), so the damage is done to something in the core before it even decides to render any front end theme.

I suspect you have made an ftp upload to the wrong folder and ended up overwriting something critical.

If you have not gone too far adding content, your best bet may be to scrub it and reinstall.

Generally, you should never develop anything like a theme on your live site. Make an offline test installation of wamp and c5, develop your theme on that, then copy to the live site once all the bugs are ironed out.

If you do not want to reinstall, you may be able to recover the live site by manually locating and replacing the damaged files.

Hi JohntheFish!

Yeah - thanks.

I just wanted to check some capibilities, so all I did was load and install a free theme from the marketplace - and when I tried to revert, it went haywire! Did try to fix some of the errors manually... but was a disaster!

Scrubbing, removing database and starting again!
