Upgrade to new version - problem - want to go back

I am now working on my fourth site using C5 and this is the first time i am using the latest version (5.4 I believe) and I am finding that a lot of the themes i want are not available on this new version. Is there a way for me to install the older versions? That would be really helpful since most of the themes i have chosen have not been available.

- C5.5.1 has been out for a while now
- future development will stem from C5.5.1
- converting a theme or addon to C5.5.1 is not difficult
- theme and addon developers have had time to upgrade their products
- if they have not done the work to upgrade their theme/addon, or do not respond to messages asking about upgrading their theme/addon, what sort of support do you expect to get later?
A fresh site is the easiest place to start with C5.5.1. It has none of the hidden incompatibility risk that upgrading an existing site carries.
(In my opininon) a better business decision would be to look for themes that are already C5.5 compatible and adapt them to your site. Less work, less risk, better supported and better for the future.
