Use of layouts in new theme

Hi,

I'm trying to use layouts on a page. Evertything works fine in the c5-themes. In my own theme, it will not display any content at all.

The data is available (because it works correct in the default themes) but I think I forgot something to do within my new theme.

Any suggestions?
(what does the working of the layouts need in order to work/display?)

Can you give us a link to your site?

It's on a local machine :(

But... I see that when I add the layout (the default 3 cols, 1 row) at the end of the block, it won't display (the whole block that is). When adding the layout some where in the middle, or adding some block contant under the layout, it shows.

I'll investigate some further.

Hmm... Any screen shots? I'm trying to picture it but can't really wrap my head around your problem.

Well, the screenshots won't display anything ;)

This is what I'm doing:

- Create new page
- Adding layout (3cols, 1 row) to main block
- Add some content to those layout blocks

When viewing the page (not in edit mode), the main block won't display at all.

When adding a new (content)block below the layout blocks, the main block (and the layout in the middle) will show up.

So in my case (or theme) I need to add some block after the layout blocks.

I just tried the same on the default them (but I know you don't use that one) without any problems.

If I understand correctly you are trying to do what I have in the attached screen shots, but nothing shows up unless you add a block in the "Main" area?

Yes!

In the default themes it is working alright. But in my theme it will only work when I add a block under the created layout.

I will try to do it with another custom theme, but I can't do that right now, sorry!

I could take a look at your theme if you want to, but I can't promise you a solution.

Thanks for the replies! ;)

First I'll try to do it with some other themes. Maybe a fresh C5 install will also help on this development machine ;)

I'll be back ;)

Wait until tonight or tomorrow with a fresh install, as 5.5.1 will be released today/tonight.
