Most items in the 5.7 marketplace should also work with 8, and some mention if they're compatible with 8 (which just means they've been tested on a version 8 install).
I haven't yet come across any 5.7 addons that don't work in 8.
I am working on updating all of my addons to make sure they work with 8.
