8.4.2 errors adding blog page

I've set up a blog according to the documentation howto.

When I add a new blog page, I pick a date, enter a URL etc. but when I click Publish, it throws errors:

You haven't chosen a valid URL Slug
You haven't chosen a valid Public Date/Time

How could these two be incorrect? There's no other way but to pick a date and enter text in the Slug input field. What could be wrong?

Could it be because of a multilingual site set-up? The URL slug and date are the only things affected by languages.

After further investigation, I removed the 'Required' in the page Page Types -> Edit Form for the slug and date, and I could add blog pages, I added the 'Required' back and I have the same errors.

Why does the 'Required' for the slug and date prevent from publishing pages?

I found another problem.

I have a Content item in the Blog Entry Page Type Form. I've edited the Blog Entry Output and added a Content block to the template. When I add a new page type, the form is show with an editor, I paste text and click Publish. But when I visit the page the content is empty. When I go into edit mode, it says the content is empty. So the block is there, it just hasn't saved the text.

Why?
