As Mnkras said, you should be able to add pages if you login as admin. If you are using a different account, then you need to set permissions on the page types that are allowed to be added by that account. If you don't have permissions for any page types, you can't add pages. To change the page type permissions,

1. Login as admin
2. Edit the home page (or appropriate parent page)
3. Click the button for Permissions
4. Select Sub-Page Permissions
5. Add the user or group, if necessary
6. Check the boxes for the page types the user/group is allowed to add below this page
7. Click Save
8. Exit edit mode
9. Login to the other account
10. Add pages

You might need to turn advanced permissions on if you can't find the items in the steps above.

How does one turn on advanced permissions. I am having the same problem with added pages not showing up. I am in as admin without any other users on a test account.

Enable it by editing your site/config.php and adding the following line:
define('PERMISSIONS_MODEL','advanced');

" With the demo,
you won't be able to customize the
templates or PHP behind your website,
but you will be able to use 90% of the system."

I wonder if there is a limit of one new page I can add with the demo" I looked all over for a place to add the code but could not find the folder mentioned in the site map

yeah, you dont get access to the file system with our free trials, so you cant turn on advanced permissions.

sorry to chat with you on this blog which has nothing to do with the conversation but it seemed the quickest way to chat with you. I am planning on buying the Silence package deal of the day for $60. Will the template look like the example you have and all I have to do is fill it in?? Easy drag and drop stye. Just provide my own images and content and design how I want it to look? Also I have been trying to update to newest version of concrete5 and followed your steps but it won't let me update? why?

open up your ftp client, and connect to your server then navigate to concretes root folder. then go to config, and edit site.php ( a file within it.)

Don't get me wrong, but I think the concept of C5 is great.. but after installing the latest version on offer (first time using it) I don't have any add page button and most of the examples here inthe forum are completely different to what I see.

On another note going through add-on repository I just get the message this is not compatible with your version.

I guess the new version has been released for reasons above and beyond security and functionality, but I regret spending so much time on this now as I feel the only way to move forward is to downgrade.
