Add 'File Download' links to Content block

Long time user of C5.6, first time using C5.8 and still trying to get used to new interface.

Main problem is how to add 'file download' links to highlighted text in Content areas. On previous version I simply highlighted text, clicked 'Add File' and selected PDF from File Manager, but I can't see a similar method on C5.8 as there is no 'Add File' button on Content toolbar.

I know I could add URL link to the PDF location in File Manager, but this is not suitable for my client to manage as they are not particularly tech minded.

I also don't want to have to use the 'File' block as I have hundreds of download links to add within sprawling text areas, so inserting separate blocks for each is not practical.

Please advise.

Thanks, Chris

These are the steps:
1- select the text you want to use as a link
2- click on the little chain icon. On hover it should say "Link (ctrl + L)" or alternatively type ctrl+L on your keyboard
3- in the popup that opens click on the gray "Browse server" button. It is badly labeled, it will open the file manager not let you browse your server.
4- if you want to open the file look under the tab "target" and select your options. Some are meant for images only like the lightbox option
5- if you want to force the download of the file instead, go to the "advanced" tab and check the box at the bottom "force download"

I hope this helps
