Cannot edit existing content after updating to 5.6.3.1

So as the title says, everything has worked perfectly on my site for months now and today I finally went to update to 5.6.3.1. However now I went to edit a page on my site a few hours after the update, and when in edit mode if I click a block that is currently empty/has not had content in it everything is fine.

But if I click a block that already has any kind of content in it, be it text, html, php, image etc... the edit menu does not appear, nothing happens when I click the block. Once again this only happens on sections for blocks that already have a block in them, if I click on an empty editable section it works fine.

This only started today after the update to the latest concrete5 version, just yesterday everything worked perfectly. Any ideas on what in the update might have caused this and how to fix it?

I am having similar issues only it's not a case that nothing is happening. I get a blank dashboard and if I try to add a block I get as far as opening the block item abut when clicking to add I get an error window with a large pink coloured background in it with all sorts of text. (See attached screenshots)

Have checked that the update worked fine and that the files were all ok but this is not the problem. Anyone have any ideas? SHort of having to redo using the older version of Conrete5.

I've done a re-installation of my Concrete5 and the issue no longer occurs, I had to reinstall due to a different reason but it fixed this issue as well, so I guess the cause was some kind of error in the installation of concrete5.

Unfortunately this also means I have to rebuild my site but at least now everything is working properly and the fresh and definitely proper install should mean no further issues.
