Cannot edit pages after upgrade to 5.4.0.5

Permalink
Tried in both firefox and chrome browsers, I can log into the dashboard no problem but when I go to sitemap and click a page to edit it no longer shows "edit" (can't remember if it used to or not) so I choose "visit" and sometimes my page loads normally as if I am logged out and other times it loads with the "red ants" as if in edit mode but the "edit bar" on the top of the page is missing and all editable areas still act as though the page loaded outside of edit mode but just with the "red ants" around each section. What must I do to fix this?

Hehe.. I like this 'Red Ant' thing :)
Anyway, I suggest you change your theme to the Default one and try. It could be, for some reason, the your Theme's CSS is interfering with C5's.

Yep, that was it. Something in my theme, oddly it wasn't an issue before the upgrade, but now it seems to be a problem I'll have to fix it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Hi Pingram,

I'm getting the same issue you were. Can you tell me what in your stylesheet you edited? Was it something on the z-index?

Yes check if your z-index is bigger Then z-index 2? If, then some how the edit mode is disabled:-(

So if u are using position and z-index have the z-index lower Then z-index:2;
