Cannot theme login page

I keep being pointed to the tutorial here:

http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/designers/themimg-sy...

but I don't know if it's outdated or my installation is different, but I don't have a root config folder and nowhere in my installation is there a file called site_theme_paths.php. I can't find the file anywhere to change these settings.

As a newcomer to concrete5, the overwhelming amount of outdated and redundant information and resources is really frustrating, especially when people are still directing users to them.

Can someone please point me in the right direction to be able to theme my single pages in the latest version of concrete5?

The file's usual location is concrete5installationDirectory/config/site_theme_paths.php

Can you find concrete5installationDirectory/config/site.php ?

The site should'nt be running without this.

The only config folders are root/concrete/config and root/application/config.

Neither of these have a site.php or anything similar, only app.php and database.php, plus concrete.php in the former.
