cannot UPLOAD files into File Manager

I cannot edit with Cocrete5 anymore. I cannot add a new photo. For more than a month, the UPLOAD button in File Manager has been defective. When I choose a new file and click UPLOAD, the "UPLOAD MULTIPLE" button constantly flashes and never stops, and the photo does not upload. So I cannot add new photos.
Please advise. This is a big problem for me, since I have not been able to work on a website for more than six weeks. This is the first time I have ever had an ongoing problem with Concrete5. I am eager to get this problem resolved.

That website has had version 5.7.3.1 since January 7th. I am thinking that I have had this problem since January 6th. Maybe I am wrong, maybe the problem has been since January 7th, and then due to version 5.7.3.1.
After seeing the "update" button in Softaculous, I updated to the newest version (version 5.7.3.1) on Jan 7th.
I have not been able to upload files, so I cannot complete new webpages for that website.
I was able to upload only 2 files on Jan 18th. I was able to upload only 5 files only Jan 19th.
On Jan 23rd, I spent a long time trying upload files, and could not. Then suddenly, I was able to upload one photo. Then the rest of the day, I could not upload any more files.
When I tried to upload another file today, and clicked UPLOAD, I inspected the page (F12), and this is the error message in the console:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)

I am having the same problem. I have moved a site from one server to another. In my staging server file uploading was working perfectly. But in live server the file uploading is not working.
What version of concrete5 are you using? Also when you hit the upload button can you inspect the page (usually F12) and see if there are any errors in the console? This usually helps me get to the bottom of errors like this.
