Can't save content Block

Hello,

today i tried to edit a content block on my site (www.shaolinsteyr.at). The last time i did this was a few weeks ago and it worket. Today i encountered
the same problem like here:https://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/usage/content-block-does-...

edit and save content blocks in stacks is working.

What I did so far, without success:
o) clear cache
o) turn off all cache options
o) update from 5.7.8 to 5.7.9 but same problem
o) play arround with httaccess

I have another site at the same webspace (www.funundaction.at, at version 5.7.4) where it works. so i think it is nothing wrong with the server.

I only remember one thing that may be differnt from my last edits. I told my hoster the site needs a long time for getting the first bite, so he told me he increased the server performance. since then the site loads faster.

So, what could be a solution for this problem?

Thanks,
Oliver

Mabye your host company "turn on" some cacher.
If so this is "nightmare" for the content block (when you publish - sometimes its remember the prev html when you click on "edit" mode - so it look like "un-saved"!! and of course all the "code source" last edits are gone - hh and if you publish you get the "new" unwanted source - no way out from this)

This host cache is nothing to do with Concrete5 (you can not "clear" this). Or "clear cache" on the browser (most of the time). Or httacsess. Or ver (endless users use this ver with content block).

Example of "host cache" software (look at you Cpanel)
https://www.siteground.com/blog/pagespeed/...

In this host example the cache on/off is per site (maybe also in your host)

It is working if i access the site with http instead of https. it also increases the page speed slightly.
at the time i turned https off per default and i'm thinking of changing my host provider.

And your site is really really slow (Bounce rate will suffer) - cache wont fix this.
100% you have cache turn on in your site (The first visit 7-8 seconds, the return visit 2-3).

Start from her: If you get 90 its not say "your site is fast" (Its only show you "pass tests" by some algorithm checkbox). Your images are HD for example.

the images on the homepage are looking not so fine if they are not hd.

Use photoshop - its not destroy nothing. Also dont "crop" the images by code (You have 1400 pixels Height but the user only see 400px height in the design) - so give the site 400px (This is the idea!!). I dont about advanced tech replace images in mobile and so on (This is the basic - in desktop - also about width - 1900px its "full" screen you dont need 3000px++).

And in C5 "image uploading" also helpful

Your site its so slowwwwwwwwww so you must fix this (Even try by fiver of up-work - to find some cheap expert). Or learn this issue:http://varvy.com/ good place to start

Thank you very much for your tips. But i optimized the pictures as far as i cold without loosing too much quality. As far as the height is concerned, i need the height for responsiveness. I could use other images for vertical smartphone, but i think this would be over the top. And I don't have 3000px+++ images. The max is 1900. Nevertheless i will try to optimize it further.

Besides the problem of the slowness are not the images, the sites without images are also slow. I optimized evreything i found in the internet, but the problem is the time to get the first byte. From this point the site is quite fast. I found out this has to do with the server performance and there i am mightless, except changing the hoster.

Mabye try:
http://www.siteground.com/

I host my site their and get good speed results (great resutls). hh its not commercial but this is from my expreince. Also C5 hosting (under host) are good.

Or send gmatrix to your host company - errors like this:
"The host shaolinsteyr.at should enable Keep-Alive. It serves the following resources."
