CMS returns code instead of page

Hi,

I have a very simple site about a year old with only 3-4 pages I created. Very simple theme with only a couple of minor tweaks to CSS. I just noticed one of my older pages was returning what looks like a PHP close tag (instead of the page).

The result is an empty page with two characters:
?>

This result is the same whether logged in to the CMS or not. I created a new page, and the new page behaved the same way. Yet, a simple test page I created earlier in the evening seemed to work fine.

Of course, I've made a number of changes to the site in the past couple of months without backing up, so I don't want to just restore the DB. I did run a back up and install a couple of updates, and it behaves the same way.

I could probably take snapshots of the pages and make the edits if somebody thinks restoring will correct the issue.

Anybody seen this before?

Thanks!

Hi
Have a look at your static pages mainly default page. I think there is any unwanted php code persists.

Is it possible that you're using php short tags, and your hosting platform has been upgraded and doesn't have them enabled?
