Creating Pagetype with defaults, from buit page

I have my Home page just the way I would like it for all pages. Is there a way to have this Homepage creat a pagetype and keep all the blocks/layouts as the default?

nope, you either have to enter it all manually or add all the blocks the the scrap book then apply them

I don't know if _this_ page can be make a default page. But a default page can be made from Dashboard > Pages and Themes > Page Types and here you choose the Defaults button on the page type you want. Edit this like a normal page adding the default content you like. Save changes. Any new page with that page type will have the default content.

HI Criba,
It looks like in theory this should work, but in both versions of C5 that I have been using (and the latest installed just today for this very reason ) -- there is no way to edit the defaults on a page type. Either I can delete a block that's already there or edit that block that's already there, but no way to add anything or change that block to something else.

It is incredibly limiting. Any tips on how to get around this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Karen
