Editing System Single Pages 5.8

On the website . members/profile page, I still have the menu available. I also have the "Edit" "Home" links below the username. But when I click on "Edit", I get a page that does not display either. Instead, I have three links in the concrete5 bar at the top right of the page. I need to maintain the menu or the "Edit" and "Home: links on each of the pages under the "Account" page. I recalled in previous versions of concerte5 the ability to edit these pages (Same goes for Profile Picture and Private Messages.)

In 5.8, I can't edit those pages. When logged in as an admin, I don't get the page layout at all, but a system page—no way to add blocks to the page. And of course, as a registered user, I can't edit that page either.

Unless I am missing something obvious, this is huge drawback for any member site. It's not intuitive at all. Totally different ways to return to the site on different pages? It's just stupid. (And in Private Message page, I have a link to "add pages?" But can't, of course. What?) And, since the "home" page I want to redirect people back to when they leave their profile isn't the root, when they click on the "home", all that does is take them back to the login page.

This is driving me nuts. I just need to be able to add the website's menu to the pages under "My Account." What the heck am I missing?

Probably a permissions issue.
Go To Dashboard > System & Settings > Permissions & Access > User Permissions and make sure the 'Edit User Details' and 'View User Attributes' are granted to your user or user group.
I think you will need advanced permissions turned on to be able to do this.

Thanks. But that still doesn't allow me to edit the page elements and add the site's header, which is what I need.
