Editing theme

I'm not a web developer, but I've had experience with code (html, c++, fortran, etc.). I'm trying to increase the width on the dark chocolate theme (too narrow). I see forum posts explaining how to do it. Make a copy of the theme, modify the copy, etc.

http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/themes/dark-chocolate-the...

However, I seem to be missing something. I cannot get to the file directory to make a copy. Do I need a special developer download? How do i get to the directory to make a copy of the theme to modify? (see attached pic).

Thanks.

MR

The original theme files are in /concrete/themes/dark_chocolate they should be copied into /themes/dark_chocolate and edited from there.

What is the workflow for copying the files. How do I access the directory structure to make a copy. Is it done through the dashboard? Probably is a basic questions, but how to I make the copy?

Thanks,

Done through ftp, Many ftp apps avaliable. On Macyou can use Transmit, cyberduck etc.
If your hosting company has webshell, you can do it there as well.
