Fatal Error on Edit Block

Hi All:

I received this error when trying to edit a block.

Not sure how to fix it exactly - anyone have an idea?

Fatal error: Call to a member function getCollectionID() on a non-object in /public_html/models/area.php on line 121

Appreciate any help!

Thanks,
Keith

I can't tell you what is happening really, but have you tried clearing you site cache?

You could also try to delete the block and add it again or revert a version or two of the page.

Hi adajad:

Yes, I've cleared the cache and that didn't work.

As for deleting the block, I can definitely try this. I'll get back to you!

Thanks.

Deleting the block wasn't a good idea.

After deleting it, the option to add a new block disappeared.

Not sure why..

Try this:

clear the cache and go to system & settings/database XML and refresh the database

Will this affect my theme in any way? Will blocks still work after, etc?

That half-worked. My pages load now but I can't edit blocks I made in 5.4.2.2...
