Google Maps

Permalink
Hello,

I'm having trouble getting google maps to work. I've followed all the instructions on this page;
https://documentation.concrete5.org/editors/in-page-editing/block-ar...

Google has verified my site and given me the API but whenever I verify it I'm told it is not a valid API.

This message appears instead of the map:
Oops! Something went wrong.
This page didn't load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.

I'm not really sure where to look for a fix.

Any suggestions are welcome as this is all new to me.

Thanks.

Check for excess white space at either end of the api key you have entered.

Thanks JohntheFish - I gave it a try and cut and pasted it back in and made sure there were no spaces but it is still invalid.

In the end I went to Google Maps, looked up the addressed, choose share and then embedded the maps in a html block in Concrete - it seems to work ok.
