Googlemap

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Since transferring my site from a trial to a hosted site, the Google map on the contact page comes up with this message - This page didn't load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details. - I have never seen any console to go and look at, and I doubt that I would know what do with it if I did find it. Do I need to replace one of the .js files?
Help gratefully received.

If you are using Chrome you should be able to hit F12 or go to More Tools -> Developer Tools from the menu and you will find a Console in the Developer Tools thing that pops up. What version of C5 are you using?

Hi Guys

I’m running 5.7.5.6 and I was thinking about updating to a more up to date version, where I believe it’s easier to sort out the Google maps issue.
I’ll look at the links you sent as well – Thanks

Alistair

There is a fix for this in 5.7.5.9, if you want to upgrade. Then you will need a Google Maps API key.

Hi elainesuth343,

In addition to hutman's recommendations, I recommend reviewing the Google Map block editor documentation. The documentation covers how and where to get the API key and other background information.
