How to edit content of Auto Nav

I need to delete some menu items in the second tier of my accordian menu.
Pretty sure this needs to be done at the root level rather then through the cms.
What file would I need to alter to affect the changes?

What file would I need to alter to affect the changes?
To remove pages from an AutoNav block, you would need to delete them from the Sitemap or change the page's properties/attributes to exclude it from showing on the AutoNav.
AutoNav links are handled through the CMS.
