HTML5 basic audio player - how to hide and still play music on page

How do I simply get music to play in a loop in the background when a page loads? I've installed the HTML5 basic audio player and it works fine but I don't want to view the player amongst the page content once the page has loaded - thx
Most people don't like music playing on a webpage in the background _especially_ if there isn't a way to mute or turn it off.
If you're selling something like a CD, or you're a band or something, certainly include a player for someone to preview - but make sure you give them complete control.
