I don't get a "Register Button" on the login page with 5.7.1

I've enabled registration with e-mail authentication, however the login page does not show a "Register Button" -- is this a defect or have I done something wrong?

Nope. Just updated to 5.7.2 and I have the same issue. No "register" button on the login page. I've tried enabling all the permutations of 'how' someone might register and have the same result regardless.

Sounding like a defect.

I am using 5.7.3 and when public registration is enabled the button does appear on the login page. Alternatively you can make a link on your website to "/index.php/registration".
