Icons in Edit Block toolbar missing after turning on CSS and JavaScript Cache

After going live with my site, I turned on all the caching options. After this, both the icons in the main edit bar as well as the icons in the Edit Block toolbar are missing. Then I turned off all caching again, after which the icons came up. Then I turned on the caching options one by one, to see what might happen. Only when I turned on the CSS and JavaScript Cache, the icons disappeared. What might be causing this behaviour?

Hi lvbaal,

Are you using a custom theme?

If you add a Feature block to the page, can you see the icon?

Thanks for your reply. Yes I am using a custom theme. And I CAN see the icon of an added Feature Block. Any ideas further? Thanks!

The icons use Font Awesome.

Are you using Font Awesome in your theme?

Are you registering your theme assets in page_theme.php?
