Login Problem and Dashboard Toolbar Missing

I got a doozy.

I cannot login through login or dashboard page with the correct username and password without checking the "remember me" box athttp://www.kelscottelectrical.com/concrete5....

But that is not where the problems end.

After navigating to any page listed in the sitemap the Dashboard Toolbar (edit page, add page, dashboard, help, sign out) is not available. There is space at the top of the page where it should be, but it does not appear and does not function otherwise.

I also receive "access denied" to the properties, permissions, design, or much else other than viewing the pages through the sitemap window.

This site has not been published yet and "warning" errors began after copying to the root directory. Before this though, I saved what I believe to be a complete working copy of my directory to my computer and used ftp upload to place the files in the root directory. I have done this withhttp://www.bmswebsite.com and have been successful in this transfer by following the guidelines found in these forums. After viewing errors I removed the newly transferred directories and reverted to the install before transfer. The errors persisted however.

Multiple "warning" errors were resolved with some guidance from member jshannon and technical assistance from host company (dot5hosting), however the result was a loss of proper login function and the inability to use the dashboard effectively.

Any help would be appreciated on any level of these problems. The site is rather simple so I am not opposed to beginning from scratch with a new install but want to be sure that this would solve the problem. I also think that the saved copy on my local computer could be used, but I don't know where to begin. Or could an update solve these issues? I am afraid to do much..

Running version 5.4.2.2
Pretty URLs are NOT enabled
The host corrected the session save path

Even though I was looking for some guidance, I decided to go with a complete deletion and new install. I plan on saving augmented photos, copy and pasting content, and hope to save myself some time otherwise.

I will let you know how this goes.

I am having the same issue with a client site hosted at Globat. Still haven't found a solution, but you're not alone. If I had to guess, it's something with the cookies/session management/security/ajax handling on the server. I may just end up switching hosts.
