Make your home page the log in page

Hi for the life of me I always struggle with this issue, despite having started a number of Concrete5 sites. I can't find anything particularly helpful on the forums.

Is there a simple way of making your home page also the login page for a C5 site (i.e. by-passing the login single page), when you have a login box installed?

how foolish am I. I just realised that my problem was not having guests able to access the home page.
