Map shows wrong location

Google maps block shows only one location all the time. No matter what address I give to it, it keeps the location in Equator line near coast of Africa! Way too south from the ski resort...

It must have something to do with my installation (which has had problems quite plenty because of tricky host). I checked my other installation in different host and there the map works fine, with same address. I also tried with different locations, but it didn´t make any difference.
What should I do? Where to start?

You could start by looking at the browser developer console. Are there any javascript errors? What is actually being sent when you look at the network tab? How do they compare to when you load the map directly in google?
