Missing images and problog add-on

I've been having ongoing problems with the problog addon wherein images are placed inside the blog and then posted. A few days to weeks later, the images then disappear and i get a blank image placeholder where the image used to be. I have to go back and re-insert the image (usually i re-size it with the appearance tab) manually only to find it gone again a few days later.

I contacted the problog developer:

Message:
Hi, just making sure you know this is a cache issue. You will want to force clearing of cache to X# of minutes and control that more.

If the problem persists, you will want to submit a core bug, as PB is strictly using core C5 API functions for content generation.

Cache is cleared manually on a regular basis and has not changed this aberrant behaviour at all.

Any suggestions, the developer believes this is a C5 issue alone.

thanks

Did you find any resolution to this? I'm having the same issue with Problog and C5.

nope.

But I assume you still have the issue? When I go to one of the suspect posts, the reference to the image is the cached version. The only way to solve for that post is to re-link images and clear the cache. Same? Did you get radio silence from the problog folks?

issue still occurs but i found that re-sizing the image in the blog seems to be the culprit. if you post an image in it's original size it doesn't happen.

problog states it's a c5 issue. c5 states it's a problog issue. go figure.

Do you have the comments from Problog and from C5 documented that you could share? I couldn't find any official response in the forum anywhere. Thanks for your insight! We will try resizing outside the system to see if that helps!

That I know of, this issue was fully resolved when the core overhauled the cache in release C5.6.1. Update your core, and let them know if this is still happening.

Hello , i have had the same problem (C5 5.6.1.2 and last Version of Problog) and the resolution was to replace the tiny_mce* Files in the folder packages/problog/js with the files from /concrete/js
