noob question - table editing - changing a link

Permalink
Hi, simple question perhaps to those in the know but I've only recently started to use Concrete5 and my FAQ/'how to' file seems to be for an earlier version so some functions and buttons etc. are different.

I'm needing to replace a file link with an existing one which is within a table. I can't see where the link is defined within the existing table.

Two links in one table at the foot of the 1st content block here;
http://www.pkht.org.uk/

Do I have to create a new table and replace the other existing link too or should there be a way to look inside the table's parameters and paste in the new link/change the name on the button?

Any tips appreciated, particularly if someone knows of a current decent 'manual' for using Concrete as I'm not a web developer and I find sourcing answers to even basic queries pretty tricky...cheers!

The site that you are working with is using a version of concrete5 is End Of Life, which is why the documentation that you are finding is not matching up to what you see, and many of the functions you read about are not available to you.

Here is a link to the Legacy Documentation - https://legacy-documentation.concrete5.org/developers...

That being said you *should* be able to update those links from within a WYSIWYG box, but without seeing your site in edit mode there isn't a way for us to know for sure what functions you have available to you.

Thanks for that link - It will be useful for many things! I've had a dig through but what I'm looking for isn't easily apparent just yet. I need to change the link within the table I'm looking at here in this screenshot. None of the options I've tried seem to call this info up but it must be there somewhere... Can you tell easily what I should be using (apart from a more up to date version of Concrete5)?

You are in the right editing screen, all you need to do is highlight that button like you have and click the "Add File" button in the top blue bar, that will pull up your file manager and you can select the updated PDF that you want that button to link to.

Aha - that seems to supersede the pdf file that was already there. That was a LOT simpler than what I'd envisioned - thanks very much for your help!
