Page Types Don't Appear

Permalink 1 user found helpful
I'm trying to switch my site to a new theme but the page types associated with the theme aren't displaying in the "Design" dialogue. See attached image "Page Types Missing". They show up in the Dashboard "Page Types". See attached image "Page Types Listed". I will say that I have a Multi-Theme add on applied, however this isn't an issue with other themes in use and the theme developer used the same add on and could not duplicate the problem.

Are you logged in as the Super Admin?

If not, do you have Advanced Permissions setup? It almost looks like that Page Type is not allowed under the selected parent.

Not using the Super Admin but Advanced Permissions are on. I'm an Administrator and the permission settings allow Administrators to change pages types. Is there something I'm missing in terms of page type permissions? Do I have to give permissions to specific page types somewhere?

Hi,

This video explains about using advanced permissions here:

http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/designers/using-adva...

I've attached a screenshot at 2:57 minutes might be relevant?

Did you try clearing cache yet?

Regards,

Jennifer

If you look at the permissions, you should be able to see which Page Types are allowed. I'm not sure if you would have to look at the permissions of the parent page and then look at the "Add Sub-Page" Details tab, or if you would need to look at the permissions of the actual page you are trying to change.
