page types - setup on child pages - update window too small

Hi,

I've added a block to a page type => I cannot set it up on child pages as the 'update' window is too small to check in all the child pages - I cannot see the right column to mark the child pages. Missing a horizontal scroll bar.
Anyone knows a solution?

I presume you mean the edit dialog too big to fit in your browser window, and is running off the side. This can happen for various reasons; I had a client who was editing his content with a notebook computer that didn't have much screen resolution who had this problem.

Try hitting [ctrl]-[-] to zoom out the content and make it (and the boxes) appear smaller in the browser. You should be able to see the entire dialog box then.

Then, hit [ctrl]-[+] to zoom back in, or [ctrl]-[0] to go back to the default zoom.

This works in all major browsers.

Unfortunately, screen size and resolution are not the problem (I'm working on a 26inch screen with hi-res settings). The point is that the dialog window is too small to display whole contents - I cannot resize the dialog box and make edits. Missing a scroll bar.

Anyway - thanks KateD. :)

Are there some pretty long page names? If so, a work-around might be to shorten them... Yeah, it's a lame answer, I know...

another workaround.

not sure if this will work. but you could install the web developer toolbar addon for Firefox then hit CTRL+Shift+S to disable/enable css styles. this should leave you with just the unstyled content and "pop up" which may help you fill in the form.
