If you click on the page in Full Sitemap you will see there are versions and you can go back to an older version.

How did you embed the javascript?

Do you mean that you pasted the javascript into an HTML block?

If so, the method @pilipala described will work. You need to approve a version previous to when you inserted the javascript and delete all subsequent versions.

I too have done the same thing that you did. I pasted the javascript onto the sitewide footer navigation html block, and now i can not edit anything at all. how can i remove the code from the block if i can't even edit anything?

In the future, use my 'Safe HTML' template https://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/safe-html... or @mesuva's Script Output block.

The above tricks of regressing page versions in the dashboard sitemap won't work for global areas or stacks because they don't appear in the sitemap.

For a global area or stack, the simplest way to recover your site is to use the host's phpMyAdmin and find the block's record in the table 'btContentLocal'. It will probably be the last record in the table. Edit that record and remove the script tag. (DO NOT DELETE THE RECORD)
