Permission

Hi, for some reason I keep getting a message saying "You cannot access task permissions." I am logged in as the Administrator account that was originally created with the site. I am trying to get another account setup.

i too have the same issue. I can't access my file permissions and other permission settings. I am running v5.6. Anyone out there know how to fix this? If i figure out something, I'll post a solution here.

I am seeing the same thing. I log in as a member of the Administrator group, and I navigate to the "Task permissions", "User Permissions", and "Conversation Permissions" links on the Dashboard menu,

under "Task Permissions" the message "You cannot access task permissions." appears.
under "User Permissions" the exact same message appears. Which is confusing since I have enabled extended permissions and have set them on my homepage and subpages, so obviously I can control user permissions.
under "Conversation Permissons" the message "You cannot access conversation permissions." appears.

Every other item on the Dashboard menu I have access to. Please provide any available information on the above errors.

Thank you!

To set dashboard page permissions, go to Dashboard > Sitemap, click options and check the box for show system pages. That will reveal a section called Dashboard. Click on the dashboard page or section you want the group to be able to access and choose Set Permissions--then give the group permission to View the page.

There are a few other places you need to set these permissions.

1. System & Settings > Permissions & Access > File Manager Permissions

2. System & Settings > Permissions & Access > Task Permissions

These permissions have to be set by Super Admin!
