Site logs me out when I click to edit

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, but when I try to click the edit or add content buttons after signing in to my website, I automatically get logged out. When I clicked on the right sidebar, it simply said access denied.

I thought maybe it was a password issue, so I reset my password but the same thing happened. I'm the only one who has access to the website as I'm the one who created it, so I don't know why I would be suddenly getting my access denied and I'm not sure of how I can fix the problem. This is a huge problem for me and any help would be appreciated. I last logged in, maybe one or two months ago, and everything was working totally fine. Like I said, I'm the only one with a login for this site.

I tried a couple other password/user names, but they didn't work, so it's not as if it's just letting me log in with any username/password and then realizing it's wrong. It's my correct username/password and yet I'm getting my access totally denied.

Here's what my browser's bar said after logging me out:

Grateful for any help,
Kelsey

Hi kelsey89,

The link you posted is for a WordPress installation.

Are you using concrete5?

Hi Mr K,

I was unable to figure anything out so I just made a Wordpress site to replace the broken concrete5 one. There didn't seem to be any way to fix it and I needed to update the site so I had to flat out replace it, as I couldn't be sure this wouldn't happen again on another concrete5 installation.

The project is still on my account so if there's any way of getting my admin account back, I'd love to know. (I had some weird issues setting it up so I had an admin login and a user login.)

I couldn't update the installation without the admin account, so I fear that's compounding the issue. Unfortunately concrete5 got rid of its incidence support, which would probably really have helped me here.

Thanks,
Kelsey

"I'm the only one who has access to the website as I'm the one who created it, so I don't know why I would be suddenly getting my access denied and I'm not sure of how I can fix the problem."

You mention that you suddenly started receiving "access denied" messages. Was the site working correctly before this happened? If so, what happened in the time between when it worked correctly and when you started having the problem - did you modify code or files, change a server setting, install a block/add-on/theme, change any settings, etc.?

Do you have a site backup taken from when the site was working correctly?

"I had some weird issues setting it up so I had an admin login and a user login."

Can you include more details, please.

"Unfortunately concrete5 got rid of its incidence support, which would probably really have helped me here."

Which incidence support are you referring to?
