Sitemap not being displayed for other users

The sitemap is not appearing for anyone other then the super admin.

What would be the cause of this?

Hey xmla,

I would think this would be the permissions set on this page.

If you go to the sitemap while on your super admin, click the options at the top of the sitemap. An options should appear with a check box that says "Show System Pages". Check this and now near the bottom of your sitemap there will be the dashboard parent page. Under this there should be a child page called "Sitemap". Click this once and click "Set Permissions". Change the permissions of the "view" property to whatever users you want to have the sitemap.

This is going to be a bit of a vanilla reply but I have been dealing with much of the same issues, but recently solved them. I am working with 5.6.1 if that matters.

The site map being a function of the pages it inherits rights from. When default site is set up the "site map" will appear on the "Search" page, or at least it does the way the site I am working on. The Search page is also the default landing page for a new user. Check the permissions on the Search page so a user can see it. The default permissions allow for all pages to be viewed by "Guest" (aka a site visitor.). Maybe it is turned off.

The Site Map also is a function of the Dashboard. From Dashboard open the full sitemap and check the permissions for it. You may have to click "options" on the site map to see the system pages, where Dashboard is. Persons who see the Site Map through this route must be able to see the Dashboard too. The default settings do not give anyone but "admins" immediate access to the Dashboard. It must be added.

I was a little too much in explore mode when I started my current projects and needed to clean up my permissions to allow my users, all local artists, to use the website as intended. A little back tracking and aside from a little "tightening" that will likely save me some headaches in the near future.

the sitemap under dashboard's permissions are currently set to administrator for both view and edit. - the user viewing the page is an administrator.

I'm not understanding why this is not functioning properly. Perhaps a botched upgrade? I upgraded several months ago and this has not been an issue until now.

Group permissions sometimes give me problems. I would try to set the view property as a single user just to test if group permissions are on the fritz.
