SlideShow: Opening in a new window

I regularly use the slideshow feature on my website, each linked with a different (external) URL. I would like an option to have that link open in a NEW WINDOW rather than the same window.
Is this possible?

I've never used the C5 slider, how are you creating your links?
It's the basic pop up box that comes up when you press "ADD SLIDE SHOW". There is an area to add image, add URL, etc.
But, I can't get in to the html to make it open in a new page.

Not going to be easy, you might need to use different slider.
There are free versions in the mp.
Go to 'Marketplace', then add-ons and search 'Sliders' or 'Slideshow'.
