Super user can edit a page, admin user gets glitch

Hey! I've been using Concrete5 for a few years but I'm new to the forums/community. Hoping someone can help me out!

Client contacted me yesterday saying she can't edit a page, see the attached screenshot. That's what happens if she clicks edit on any page in the site. If I go in and edit any page as the super user I have absolutely no problems. Logging in as her or any other admin user I get the same as the attached.

To my knowledge, nothing has changed on the site in the last few weeks other than the client editing content. I duplicated the site across to a dev server I have with a different hosting supplier and I can't replicate the problem. Admittedly she is paying for the cheapest hosting possible.

Its Concrete 5.7.4.2
I've tried updating but, probably down to the hosting again, I get a whole bunch of time outs and the like.

Anyone have any clues as to how i can at least get her editing the site again?

Hi Mohunky,

When you log in as admin, is the toolbar viewable and do you get any browser console errors?

"I duplicated the site across to a dev server I have with a different hosting supplier and I can't replicate the problem."

So this is broken on your client's server when logged in as admin, but not when testing it on another server?

Are you using advanced permissions and have they been changed recently?

How long ago did editing stop working correctly? Before it stopped working, were there any changes made like modifying permissions or settings, adding/removing add-ons or themes, modification of files, etc.?

Also, when things are working, I would update to the current version.

Thanks for the reply!

When logged in as admin the toolbar shows up until the point you click edit, then it disappears when the page hits edit mode and the <ul>'s show. No console errors

Yep, it is broken when logging in as admin on the clients server but fine on one of my own server.

Not using advanced permissions

First heard about it yesterday. I was on the site a few weeks ago and everything was fine. Definitely no Theme changes, no add-ons removed or added, nobody but me has access to the files and I've not made changes. Permissions and C5 settings potentially could have been changed without my knowing but I've looked through most things and it seems to be as I'd expect.

Definitely agree to update, currently both dashboard and manual updates are failing though, because of a combination of timeouts or internal server errors.

@Mohunky

Have you looked over the client's web host settings?
