Users cannot add blocks to pages

I have a new Concrete5 site (was installed by our IT folks) and turned on Advanced Permissions. Somehow the permissions got set (either by IT or by default) such that only Administrators can add blocks to any page area. I can override this page by page, by going to the area and setting permissions for each area, but I really need our users to be able to create their own pages and add content blocks without the admin logging in to fix things for them.

When I set page permissions, my "Contributors" group has access to edit the page. That lets them edit content in existing blocks, but not add new blocks. There does not seem to be a page-level permission for adding blocks and stacks.

I tried overriding the permissions for these areas in the Page Type defaults, but that doesn't seem to have had any effect, probably because I'm setting page permissions based on the hierarchy, not on the page type defaults.

I've searched these forums and the webs and have not come up with a fix. Does anyone see what I'm missing here? This one has me stumped!

Oh, geez. Never mind. Isn't that always the way? Ask for help, then finally stumble across the fix.

In case I'm not the only person who has missed this: I had to log in with the super-user account (apparently my regular Administrator account wasn't good enough) and go to Dashboard > Block & Stack Permissions. From there, I gave access to Add Blocks and Add Stacks to all Registered Users (and save save save all the way to the bottom of that pile of pop-up windows).
