Vidall Minima Slideshow remove visible filename

Hi, I have created a website which uses the Vidall slider on the homepage. In the lower left corner of each image in the slider it is displaying the file name, how can I remove this? Thank you for your help.

I have not personally used this theme, but in short, this is how to override the view from that block:

1. Create a directory /blocks/vidall_slider/ (must be readable by the webserver)

2. Copy /packages/minima/blocks/vidall_slider/view.php to /blocks/vidall_slider/view.php

2. Edit the copy of view.php and remove or comment out the PHP that shows the filename

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply! I'm a bit new to this though and can't
see how to view directories let alone create new ones.

If you can help a little more I would be very grateful :)

Hi Oliveliving,

Without having used the theme, I have no idea if it might be a simple setting that you can use yourself when editing the slider block. The live demo does not show filenames, but captions. You could try posting your question in the Minima theme support forum.

Teaching someone how to use a Unix system is far beyond the scope of your question. If you don't know how to use a FTP (File Transfer Protocol) client, or possibly your hosting control panel file manager, there is not much you can do.

Unfortunately, if you don't have these skills you probably should not be trying to modify PHP code yourself.

If you have no luck in the support forum, I would be happy to offer my services. I'm sure it wouldn't take very long.

This would require at a minimum FTP hostname/password and possibly super admin login credentials (in case override/block caching is enabled). You didn't mention which version of concrete5 you are using (nor a link to your actual site).

Hope that helps,

John
