New user.

I have locally stored videos (.mov, Flash, mp3 etc.) that I want to add to a page but so far I can't get them to display. What's the process for doing this? Are there any file type or size restrictions?

Thanks

You should be able to use the Video block to add video ... it should detect if its Quicktime, Flash or Windows Media Player.

However, you might consider looking into the Flash Video, Flash Audio or Media Library add-ons. I built them because I just needed better media support in Concrete. You can also look into embedding other types of players using an HTML block or by wiring them directly into a page template, or as a custom block template.

I am getting 2 megabyte max for video uploads. I think even my smallest videos are larger than 2 megabytes. Does the player determine the size of the video supported? If so do the add-ons allow for larger videos? What is the max?

have you checked your hosting server's max size for file uploads? That might be an issue. Try uploading a pdf over 2MG's. You can get around this sometimes by changing your .htaccess file.
