Where is Exit Edit Mode button?

I am using v.5.6.1.2 running with XAMPP on 'localhost'. When I sign in, the top toolbar shows the 'Edit' button. I click it and it then says 'Editing' and I am in edit mode. There is no 'Exit Edit Mode' button or way to approve a version from the toolbar. (as in previous versions). I (seemingly) randomly get messages to approve a version and occasionally when I go to the dashboard, then 'return to website', it will have exited edit mode. Are there buttons missing or is there another way to do these things?

When done editing or you want to exit editing. Try to mouse over on Editing button on the top left of your screen then it will show the exit edit mode or previews/publish edits

I had hovered over the Edit button previously and nothing appeared...However, today I signed on, and of course when I hovered over the Edit button it worked! Even after several edits and going to/from the dashboard. A very clean and simple way to approve edits and get out of edit mode. Thanks for the replies!
What is your setup, as in machine and browser? There should be a dropdown menu appear under the Edit link in the top left?!
