Where to config available blocks in an area?

Hi,

I overtook a project driven by concrete5 from a former employee. Now I started to dig into the system. I noticed some of our pages offer a limited selection of available blocks (like html) while in editing mode. I would now like to adjust the selection for the admin user. Where can I do that?

I did scan the forum, the concrete5 website and searched the c5 backend for quiet a while. Would be nice if somebody could point me in the right direction.

All the best,

This is most likely in 1 of 2 places. It's either in the Page Type Defaults, or in the Area Permissions on a per-page basis.

I would check the Page Type Defaults first - Go to the Dashboard -> Page Types and click the Defaults button for the Page Type you are working with. Put the page in edit mode and click in the "Add to XX" section of the page, select Set Permissions then click on the Add Blocks to Area and there should be a Details tab which tells you who can add what types of blocks to this area.

If you don't find any permissions set there, try the same thing on the front end for the specific page.

If it's not in either of those two places it could be that they are limiting which blocks the user has by user and not on a per-area basis. To check that go to the Dashboard -> Block & Stack Permissions and click on the Add Block option there, in the Details tab it will show which groups have access to which block types.

@hutman: Thanks for pointing out. Just noticed that I'm not superadmin (just admin), so I have to get these account details first to enter some of the settings you mentioned.

Anyhow, tried on a test-install already and it looks good. Just the settings I was looking for.
