Fresh installation fills database and then aborts the installation due to self filled database

Permalink 0 0 Browser Info Environment
Tried to install in a empty webspace with a newly created empty database, however observed a duplicateble error on my system.
I did the installation proc. with the 2 installation options (full/empty website)

I could see that concrete was initially accesing the database, then for whatever reason later on the installation process it aborted the installation with following error:
"Database is empty: There are already 318 tables in this database. concrete5 must be installed in an empty database."

I've attached a screenshot with the error message/positive indications for the required items.

Any suggestions/guidance on digging in the database handling of the code is appreciated.
