Adding html to the questions.

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi - Really interested in buying the add-on for a client site...

The site is for deaf users, and they use Sign language videos as the main form of language / communication on site - What they need to do is basically add in a video above each question.

- So, my question - Without me hacking the add-on to pieces, would there be a way to add in an html / wysiwyg text area (or custom field of some sort), above/between each/any question - so that essentially, they can add in a video relating to each question.

The plugin wouldn't need to add in any way of handling the videos themselves (e.g. upload, etc) - we'd be using Vimeo, and I'd deal with all that side of things. So - it's really just going to be a way of being able to add in some embed code/id number for each video/question.

Hope that makes sense!

Thanks,
Rich.

Hi Rich,
That's a very good question. I've never tried that to be honest.

Each question can have a tooltip - a question mark icon that when hovered shows more text. Possibly you could add the video embed code there. Off the top of my head I'm not sure if there's a limit in the number of characters allowed. The only problem is when the mouse hovers off the tooltip icon, the video would disappear. But I'm sure with a line or two of Javascript code, it could be made to stay open.

Would this be a suitable solution?

If so, I can provide custom coding solutions which are US$90/hr. This small task would be 0.5hrs (US$45) and can be paid via Paypal. Just let me know if you'd like to go ahead or have any questions.

Thank you for the swift reply JB - That is really helpful!

It sounds like this should do the job and could be extended easily enough to get this working by amending the JS. All good.

I'll talk to the client, and then take it from there - I'll be in touch re the additional work if/as req'd.

Cheers!
