Trouble finding the block type you have created and used on one or two pages (or stacks even)? No worries anymore. Block Finder will find them for you. Select the Block Type you're looking for and hit "Search". You will see a list of all pages and stacks using this specific Block Type and you can click the "Outline Instances" button on the right to go to the page/stack to get a border/outline on all of these instances. You see DIRECTLY which of the blocks you're searching for.

Available options:

  • Filter by pages & stacks, pages only or stacks only;
  • Order by Page name, Page Path and Instances, ascending and descending;
  • Select the results per page (10, 20, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000);
  • Instantly submit the form when you change one of the above values, by checking a checkbox
  • Choose a border color of the "Outline Instances" functionality, by going to "Configuration" within this package and use the color picker;
  • Choose to default check the "Instant submit" checkbox;
  • Delete instances of Block Types for selected page(s) and/or stack(s) - with the option to include inactive blocks (from earlier versions of the stack/page);
  • Reset button - only available after searching to easily go back to the default view;

Where can I find this once installed?

Go to Dashboard - Stacks & Blocks - Block Finder.

I want to add content on a page with the menu open AND outline instances, can I?

No, I haven't found a proper way to do so yet. This is due to the redirect being applied after going to the "Add Instances" page/function. You can still click the "Outline Instances" button and be directly in the edit mode to add content wherever you'd like to.

Will this work on a site with 39181 pages?

I don't know. Just try it out and see for yourself. I can still polish some code if neccessary, but as far as I could test with a couple of pages, it just works. Feel free to send me a code update if you feel like it though!

Huh.. I think I've seen this Add-On before?

Could be, there's an Add-On for concrete5 5.6.x available with more or less the same options. This is named Where Is My Block. This one will not work on 5.7.x and does not have the "Outline Instances" and "Delete Instances" functionalities.
