Deluxe Image Gallery interferes with Previous & Next block?
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi Jordan,
is it possible that Deluxe Image Gallery interferes with the Previous & Next block since version C5 5.6.0.1? After the update, the Previous & Next block refuses to work on all pages where Deluxe Image Gallery exists, while it works on other pages of that website.

Thank you,

Hi Jordan,
as far as i can see now, that issue has nothing to do with Deluxe Image Gallery, even when it only ocurred on pages that are using that gallery:
after the update from 5.5.2.1 to 5.6.0.1 something must have mixed up the values for cDisplayOrder in the table "Pages". I found wrong values in cDisplayOrder for the same cParentID. Instead of 1,2,3.. for subpages of the same cParentID, the values have been changed to 7,7,7... Strangely, the value for cDisplayOrder was always "7" for all the pages where the Previous/Next block didn't work.
The fix was to simply manually change the order for at least one of the affected pages in the full sitemap and then change it back. This immediately resulted in correct values in cDisplayOrder for pages of the same cParentID like: 1,2,3...
Unfortunately i could not detect what actually caused that issue during the update process.
Thank you,
Michael

That's really strange. I'm glad you were able to figure it out and fix it though.
Best,
Jordan

I haven't noticed this problem before. And when I visit the page you linked to, it seems to work fine.
Can you explain what happens more? For example, do you see an error on the page? Or does clicking the link make the browser load indefinitely? Or does clicking the link not do anything? Or go to a blank page? etc.
Thanks,
Jordan
