Description file contents

Permalink Browser Info Environment
With your FancyBox, which is nice and meets my needs, is there a way I can change a metadata entry in the JPG so that content is picked up as the Description? I did fill the actual image metadata field for Description and a couple other entries, but that doesn't get read.

Sounds like that isn't native to the Deluxe version either. Might be a neat addition to the Deluxe version to promote sales :-)

Thanks again.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately it's probably not something I'm going to implement. A long time ago, in an older version of the addon, it would automatically populate titles and descriptions from the file properties, but a lot of people complained about that because they didn't really use those properties and it wound up with default data put in by the system (which was not what most people wanted), so they'd have to go and delete all that manually every time.

If you want to always use the file properties for the titles and captions, try the free "Simple Image Gallery", which works that way.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly and for the suggestion. I can understand how what to me is a feature could be a pain to different users.

I will check out the other add-in also.
