Loss / failure to show captions after Concrete 5 update

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I have successfully used the de luxe image gallery on our website (www.lucywardart.com ) until I recently upgraded Concrete 5 from 5.4.n to the latest 5.6 version. Everything seems to work OK except I can't get the captions to display on the zoomed images on any new image galleries, (eg Wood Sculpture page) or after I've edited an existing gallery (eg Galleries / Still Life 1) Those that I haven't edited (eg all the other Still Life pages 2-4) show the captions correctly. I think have the latest version of the gallery add-on (1.6) I also had some problems getting a 3 or 4 column display on the live site (it didn't occur on the preview or edit screens) - it kept dropping back to two columns however small I made the thumbnails. This problem seemed to be solved by clearing the caches. The caption loss occurs with both Internet Explorer and Firefox

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Something seems to be off in the markup for the captions, which leads me to believe there's a problem in the template for the block. Can you tell me if you're using a custom template for this block? (If you're not sure, you can see by going into edit mode on that page, clicking on the gallery block, and choosing "Custom Template" from the popup menu -- then see if there's a selection, or if it just says "no template" or something like that).

Thanks for such a quick response. When I look at the custom template option, it says that "There are no custom templates available" - this is the same for all the relevant blocks - whether or not the galleries seem to be working correctly or not. The option asks for a block name, but I'm not sure where I find this.

Okay, that's good to know. I wonder if something got messed up in the addon code itself. Can you ZIP up the /packages/deluxe_image_gallery directory on your server and send that to me so I can take a look? You can email it to me directly at: concrete@jordanlev.com
Or, if you prefer you can provide me with an FTP or CPanel login to your site so I can go look at the files on the server myself.

Thanks very much for the offer, but I've since found out that there are some other problems that have appeared since I updated Concrete 5 to the latest version, so my current thought is to do a new clean install of C5 and rebuild the site - it's no a big site so it won't take long. I may get back to you if I still have problems ! - but in that case I'll start a new thread
