Remove Designer Content after buying Designer Content Pro
Permalink Browser Info Environment
I installed Designer Content and created a block called "Vendor Record". I then decided Designer Content Pro was much better for my needs (that truly is an amazing add on btw). I now want to completely get rid of both Designer Content AND the block I created called Vendor Record so it doesn't confuse the users. Can you outline the steps, please?

Hi,
To remove Designer Content blocks, you actually need to go to Dashboard > Stacks & Blocks > Block Types, find the block in the list and click on it, then click the red "Remove" button.
(The instructions from @zoinks are slightly off because for blocktypes you don't do it from the usual "Install Addons" dashboard page, which is always very confusing to me).
You shouldn't run into problems with leftover block handles, but if you do please post a support request for Designer Content Pro and I'll be happy to assist you with anything that comes up.
Thanks!

Well, I guess that explains the problem I sometimes run into! I think sometimes I've gone into FTP and manually deleted block folders not realizing that they were to be removed from a different location in the dashboard. Sorry, thought I could help here!
Thanks Jordan, just what I needed. Really great Add-On, allowing me to format a block that will need to be updated on an ongoing basis. Thanks.
Then, you go to Dashboard > Extend concrete5 (on the bottom left) and then click the "Edit" button next to the Add-on you want to delete. The next panel after you click Edit will allow you to delete it.
Something to note: I believe if you name your Designer Content block and block_handle the same thing as a previous block you deleted, it will still conflict with the previous block which is still stuck in the database. I don't think this issue has been fixed. So, if you made a block called "something" with a handle of "something" with Designer Content and then decided to delete all instances, remove Designer Content and then reinstall it later and create a new block called "something" with a handle of "something" you will run into an error. The solution is to call the new block "something_else" or whatever.
